CIL Activities For All Ages

These gatherings are informal and a great opportunity for participants to talk to each other and make new friends.  Many of us deal with pain on a daily basis, some of us have lost family members, have had injuries or an illness, while others have been bullied.

But no matter the cause of the pain many specialists agree and recommend that keeping smiles and laughter in our lives is a key point in keeping pain at bay.  Exercise is another element which helps to keep pain at bay, “Keep moving,” they say. If you live in chronic pain, neither of these are easy, but it can be possible. .especially if you take one baby step at a time. No need to be a track star. ;)     We can all remain independent and enjoy life to the fullest.

  • Duncan Pain Self-Management Group meets in the Boardroom at the Island Saving Centre, 2687 James Street, Duncan, BC, V9L 2X5 facilitated by Heather Divine,  CEO  PEER led support Group. Meets 2nd Wednesday of Every Month. 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm.

CIL now offers books for trade. Stop by to check out our library. All you need to do is bring in a book you’ve already read, look over  our books, and choose one you’ve not yet read.  After you read it, then bring it back, and choose yourself a new book to read.  This way you can keep reading new books at no cost and you can give someone else the same opportunity.
